How many Tor exit nodes are there?
1,327 Tor exit nodes were live on 14 September 2026, counted from the Tor Project's own bulk exit list. The figure moves daily as relays join and leave, so it is republished weekly rather than quoted as a constant.
How many disposable email domains are there?
LayerCall tracked 8,833 disposable-email domains on 14 September 2026. .com accounts for 34.29% of them — largely because .com is enormous, not because the suffix predicts anything on its own.
How many VPN exit nodes do the major providers publish?
8,601 individual exit nodes across NordVPN and Mullvad on 14 September 2026, of which NordVPN publishes 8,038 in 150 countries. These are counts of what each operator lists in its own public server API, not market share or capacity, and the units differ between providers.
How many datacenter ASNs are there?
100 autonomous systems were classified and verified against RIPE on 14 September 2026 — 83 datacenter and 17 belonging to VPN providers. This is LayerCall's own classified set, not the whole of the global ASN registry.

This counts what each operator publishes — not market share, quality or size. The units differ and are shown as such: NordVPN and Mullvad list individual servers, Surfshark lists clusters that each resolve to several addresses, so the numbers are not comparable to one another.
Operators absent from this table are not less open. These lists exist because the providers’ own apps fetch them to pick a server — a consequence of how their software works, not a virtue. Others distribute the same information differently; Proton, for one, requires an authenticated session.
