What this does and does not tell you
A high score is not proof of fraud, and a low one is not a guarantee. These are signals about the infrastructure a request came through — whether an address is a datacenter, whether an email domain is disposable, how old a domain is. Plenty of honest people use VPNs, and plenty of fraud arrives from an ordinary home connection.
That is why LayerCall returns allow, review or block rather than a verdict on a person, and why the middle option exists. Most of what looks risky is best answered with a one-time code, not a closed door.
Results here are not stored against you and the page needs no account. The lookup is rate-limited per IP so it cannot be used as a free API — a free key gives you 1,000 lookups a month with no hourly limit.
