What counts as a lookup?
One scored value — one IP, one email, one phone or one domain. A unified /v1/score/user call that checks all four counts as four, because it does four lookups. Cached repeats and every test-mode call are free and never counted.
What happens if I go over my included volume?
On a paid plan you keep working and the extra bills at your plan's per-lookup rate — the rate is published, not negotiated. On the free plan there is no overage: it stops at 1,000 so you can never receive a surprise bill from a tier you did not pay for.
Can I cap what I spend?
Yes. Set a spend cap in the dashboard and billable lookups stop when the month's cost reaches it. Unpredictability is the thing developers say they resist most about usage-based pricing, so the ceiling is a real stop rather than an alert.
